News – Just Couldn’t Tie Me Down…

Right, the final countdown has now officially started – I’m just 3 weeks out from starting my epic “US Relations Tour”, and shit is starting to get crazy again. Last weekend Keith the Anger Management Koala and I were down in Greenwich, where Keithy was a runner-up in the “Greenwich’s Got No Talent” talent competition. He was pretty pissed at not winning outright – especially after he mounted the judges table and serenaded “Naomi Shambles” with a hip-thrusting rendition of “Reverse Love Song/I’m a Psycho”. But in fairness, the guy who did win did so by snorting a line of chilli powder and throwing up on stage. So fair dues.

The up-shot was that Keith provided Lady Lala (centre) with a motorboat she'll never forget

So I’m now officially on my way: round-the-world tickets are booked, train schedules are organised, and ukulele’s are being re-strung. But before I head off to take over the world, we’re starting in sleepy little Stroud…

April 18th, 8pm-9pm: Mighty Ginge Radio: Apocalypse Meow Special

The Apocalypse comes to StroudFM! After taking over the studio at knife-point I’ll be playing my finest selection of doomsday music in preparation for my performance of “Apocalypse Meow” at Lansdown Hall. And to break things up we’ll have a special guest appearance of Gerald the Baboon to tell listeners about Revelations, I’ll be discussing the dangers of ants, and Martin will sit quietly in the corner in abject terror

April 21st, 8pm-9pm: Josh Richards Presents “Apocalypse Meow” (Lansdown Hall, Stroud)
After living here for over a year, I’m FINALLY performing my debut solo show in Stroud. Expect Mayans, extinction-level events, possessed ex-girlfriends, the very hungry caterpillar, and possibly the creepiest baboon puppet to ever appear on stage – Doomsday shouldn’t be this much fun.

Tickets on sale at the door on the night, or from LansdownHall, Kane’s Record and Bailey Paints for ₤10 (₤8 conc) or ₤12 on the door

Yours truly is hosting the final night of the Cheltenham Poetry Festival, with some help from Keith the Koala. I’ll be amusing the crowd in between marvellous acts like  Monkey Poet, Ash Dickinson, Julie “Psycho” Jones” and Chris Fordwoh. I’m just glad I’m not working the next day…
