News – Awesome Has A Price

You’ve probably noticed that this week’s scheduled segments haven’t been posted, nor has the planned Bad Ass of the Month tribute to Larry started. It won’t. After last Saturday’s monumentous ride in Larry’s honour, my body completely shut down. A lack of food, water and sleep; coupled with a hang-over from hell and a continued bitter rage over Larry’s theft by some obnoxious like Scottish skank in Edinburgh; meant the ride left me exhausted and open to infection.

And that’s exactly what happened

So since Sunday I’ve experiencing the joys of a combined sinus infection and massive salt depletion – basically I’ve been blacking out in cold sweats and shakes while I’m unable to breath for the last week. Fun Times. Needless to say, the regular segements didn’t get done and it’s only now (a week after the Larry post) that I’ve been able to do anything. The planned tribute to Larry has also been scrapped – as much as he deserves better, I don’t think starting a monthly bad ass award is the way to do it when others are already doing it, and doing it much better than I could.

Rest assured though that I’ve stopped being sick, and started being awesome instead, so regular segments will return from tomorrow. And provided I don’t lose anymore soft toys to nasty and violent little Scottish women, I won’t be burning myself out and getting sick anytime soon – hence not missing anymore posts.
